Jan Mensing
"Mensing" was a patronym, in later generations the family name was Weijenberg or Wijenberg.
Jan Mensing and his children lived in and around Epe, on the eastern border of the Veluwe region.
In a couple of generations the descendants had moved to the northern edge of the Veluwe, to villages like Elburg, Doornspijk and Nunspeet.
A significant proportion of this family wound up in the Province of Utrecht.

Jan 'Peters' Weijenberg
Jan Peters Weijenberg was born in Terwolde, in the Municipality of Voorst, but after two generations almost all descendants were residing in the city of Deventer, right across the river IJssel.
Though some branches of this family moved to different parts of the country, most of the family stayed in Deventer through the decades.There are no significant migrations to North America or Australia.

Claes te Weijenborgh
Claes te Weijenborgh came from Zieuwent, a small community in the Achterhoek region. This is in the eastern part of Gelderland.
Most of his descendants are living in the municipality of Lichtenvoorde.

Joannes Weijenbarg
Joannes Weijenbarg was born in Ruurlo, in the Achterhoek region. His original family name was Strikker, but after his marriage he took the name Weijenbarg, after the farm of his wife's parents.
All desecendants are known under this name.
